Cook Insurance Agency was established in 1913 by John H. Cook and has been in continuous operation making it one of the oldest agencies in Florida.
It was purchased from the Cook family in 1985 by Joe W. Butler,
Sr. and sold to Gulf State Community Bank in 2003.
In 2005, a second office was established in Carrabelle at 205
NW Avenue A. adjacent to the home office of Gulf State Community
Bank. A third location in Crawfordville opened in 2006 at the
Crawfordville location of GSCB on Highway 98.
For nearly 100 years, CIA has served the residents of the "Forgotten
Coast". The agency home office location was relocated to
the lower level of the Gulf State Bank building at 73 Avenue E
in 2004 to make business more convenient to customers. There is
ample parking and private consultation offices for our agents
and customer service representatives.
A third location has now opened in Crawfordville inside the Gulf
State Community Bank Building.
